A New Exhibit at the Young Artists Gallery
We’re excited to announce a colorful new exhibit on display at the Young Artists Gallery! This inspiring collection of youth artwork can be found at the Sandbar Café, located at 103 S. Talbot St. in Addison.
This cozy, art-filled corner of the café showcases young local artists' bright imagination and creative spirit. Enjoy the creativity of Mrs. Welsh's Art Camps: 'Sculpture skills using Polymer Clay', 'Portraits', and 'Expressive Painting with Acrylics', on display now through April 2026. The Sandbar Café presents a perfect combination: great art and coffee, all in one inspiring space.
Visit the gallery in person, support local talent, and experience how art brings our community together. One brushstroke at a time.
Camp & Workshop Creativity

"We have been so blessed to have our son participate in several art camps at the Manitou Beach Creative Corner. There are always a variety of classes offered so that the kids can be exposed to many different art mediums throughout the year! After every class, each child has a piece of artwork that is selected to be displayed at the Lakeside Gallery and then hung in our home as beautiful pieces of art that will be treasured forever. These classes have instilled a love for art and creativity within our son as well as have helped to build his self-esteem and confidence as a young artist."

"My daughter has always been interested in creating artwork. From drawing to painting, to then making anything crafty, she loved the process. Although her artwork was cute, she lacked the formal training from a dedicated art teacher who could patiently show her the necessary techniques. The teachers at the Manitou Beach Creative Corner go above and beyond to help kids find a true love for art and the process of creating something amazing!
I love the way they hang the art pieces in the Lakeside Cafe, highlighting the kids' talents and allowing them to feel a sense of pride. They also have their artwork printed on notecards. The people in this tight-knit community support the program by purchasing the cards, providing $ to the up and coming artist - whose work is on display!
We plan to attend year after year. Highly recommended!"

"My daughter absolutely loves the art camps! She's been attending for the past 3 years and finds the classes fun and loves how much learns during each one. I'm so glad she's found such an inspiring place to be so creative."
